AGCO MFG has recently replaced their original FAFNIR G1200KRRB bearings with the cheaper PEER HC211-32AD-A bearings, made in China. These bearings have a load capacity that is 1,060 lbs lower than the FAFNIR bearings, making them prone to failure under the pressure of our 2″ rollers, which have a hydraulic tension system.
While AGCO’s factory bearings work for machines that use different rollers, they are not designed to withstand the tight fit and load that our specific rollers create. If you are using these bearings, they are likely to fail over time, leading to reduced performance and potential downtime.
To ensure the best performance, we recommend only using FAFNIR G1200KRRB bearings with our 2″ rollers. These bearings have a significantly higher load capacity than the cheaper PEER bearings, allowing them to handle the hydraulic tension and the close fit of our rollers.
Here’s a comparison:
FAFNIR DYNAMIC LOAD CAPACITY | 10,800 lbf |
FAFNIR STATIC LOAD CAPACITY | 6,570 lbf |
PEER DYNAMIC LOAD CAPACITY | 9,740 lbf |
PEER STATIC LOAD CAPACITY | 5,850 lbf |
The FAFNIR bearings are built to handle the stress and tension our rollers create, ensuring long-lasting performance and protecting your investment. Using non-recommended bearings not only reduces the efficiency of your machine but also voids our warranty.
To prevent bearing failure and keep your equipment running at its best, follow these steps:
The FAFNIR bearings are built to handle the stress and tension our rollers create, ensuring long-lasting performance and protecting your investment. Don’t risk premature failure and downtime. By using the correct FAFNIR bearings, you ensure the long-term performance and reliability of your equipment. Protect your investment and keep your machine running efficiently.
